
The organic silicon oil of Shin-Etsu is usually colorless transparent liquid with very excellent thermal stability, cold resistance, water resistance. The adhesion change of organic silicone is very small even in a large range of temperature difference, and also has excellent conductivity. Additionally, the organic silicone has other properties, such as demoulding, hydrophobicity, defoaming etc. for which general mineral and synthetic oil do not have.

Heat Resistance
The organic silicone oil has a very excellent stability with respect to thermal oxidation.
Cold Resistance
The organic silicone oil has a very excellent cold resistance. The benzyl silicone oil for cold resistance keeps good liquidity even though the temperature is down to -65°C.
Adhesion Stability
The organic silicone oil has very small change in adhesion within the range from low temperature to high temperature.
Chemical Stability
The stability of organic silicone is very inactive. In a room temperature environment, the chemical properties are nearly unaffected in 10% below aqueous alkali and 30% below aqueous acid.
Corrosion and Impact on Other Materials
The silicon oil does not nearly result in poor impact on numerous materials represented by metal.
Surface Tension
Compared to water and general synthetic oil, the surface tension of the organic silicone oil is very small.
